Icebreakers: Andy Macdonald
ESPN The Magazine

ANDY MACDONALD, pro skateboarder

CD ON REPEAT: "We're on the BoomBoomHuckJam tour now and every single day the sound check guys put on this one Sting track, and I'm like Ahhgg! I'm an iPod junkie, we all share music but I mostly have been listening to anything by the Dead Presidents and Mos Def."

Asteroids in the kitchen. Gotta love it.

VIDEO GAME THAT'S GOT YOU HOOKED: "I have a stand-up Asteroids machine from 1979 in my kitchen. It's right there and it doesn't need quarters. My record is only 30,000 though."

DESCRIBE YOUR DANCE STYLE: Break dancing circa 1985-86. More specifically, ground-work break. The only style I have any semblance on prowess in. We had an 80's party at my house a little while ago and there were some serious break battles going on. Backspins, windmills, you name it."

MOST FLATTERING OUTFIT: "According to my wife it's a pair of black pants with a dark blue long sleeve shirt. No hat with the hair all messed up. So, of course I never wear that."

WEIRDEST THING THAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU RECENTLY: "I was on tour with Dave Mirra and a couple other skaters and we were pulled over in Georgia. The cop had the accent, the confederate flag license plate -- the whole thing. We're all sitting on the side of the road while the K-9 unit goes through the car and the cops find a big bag of white powder. Took a while to convince them that it was only a protein shake. When they realized we were a skating tour, the cop congratulated me on winning the XGames and we gave out a lot of autographs. Weird."
