DETROIT (Ticker) -- The finale of the three-game series between the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox was postponed due to rain.

The game has not yet been rescheduled.

It might have been a break for the Tigers, who have lost four straight, three times by shutout, and have been blanked the last two games. Pedro Martinez was slated to pitch today for Boston.

Boston returns home for a three-game weekend series with the Cleveland Indians, while the Tigers embark on a six-game road trip with three-game sets against the Chicago White Sox and Anaheim Angels.
