CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The game between the Atlanta Braves and
Chicago Cubs was postponed due to rain and will be made up on
Thursday at 1:05 p.m. EDT. Thursday originally was an off day for both teams. Atlanta
returns home Friday to begin interleague play against the
two-time defending World Series champion New York Yankees, while
the Cubs host the Detroit Tigers. Today's scheduled starters were pushed back one day as Atlanta's
Tom Glavine (7-1) faces Chicago's Kevin Tapani (2-6). The Braves, who boast the majors' best record at 35-16, will be
looking to complete a three-game sweep.
