BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Clippers hope to avoid their fifth straight road loss tonight when they visit the Boston Celtics, a team that has been generous to the league's worst teams recently.

After pulling off a stunning upset at home Saturday against Indiana, the Clippers' road woes continued Monday with a 111-106 loss at Cleveland.

Derek Anderson scored a season-high 29 points against his former team, but Los Angeles slipped to 3-14 on the road and has not won away from home since a 103-99 triumph December 17 against Golden State, the worst club in the Western Conference.

Maurice Taylor scored half of his 26 points in the decisive fourth quarter as the Clippers matched their win total from last season (nine) with a 103-100 victory over the Celtics on December 26.

Los Angeles has gone just 1-5 since that triumph, but did give former Celtics'coach and player, Chris Ford, his first coaching win against his former team.

The Celtics have lost back-to-back games since winning three of four, including Monday's miserable 112-103 home loss to Vancouver.

Paul Pierce scored 23 points and Kenny Anderson added 22 and eight assists for Boston, which has lost consecutive games to Chicago and Vancouver, who have a combined record of 15-51.

Boston is a 12-6 at the FleetCenter and looking for its third straight home win against the Clippers.
